Our process begins with an initial consultation to understand your requirements:
- Maintenance and support of existing batch programming and ETL
- New development of batch programming and ETL
- Reporting
- Conversions
The following approaches applyfor the various offerings:
- Maintenance and support of existing batch programming and ETL are either completely time and materials for all aspects, or via a Subscription. Subscriptions need a short initial assessment to establish the extent and complexity of the application; there is a nominal fee for this assessment, regardless of whether a Subscription is subsequently agreed to or not. Function point analysis and integration aspects are taken into account for making the quote. Then, for a Subscription - which is defined per functional area, an initial invoiceable onboarding Statement of Work is agreed to and performed so as to get to know the application. And, a recurring fixed monthly hours agreed to so as to perform Micro Statements of Work. Hours not used in a given month are reimbursed at a rate of 50%, or carried over to next month. Hours needed above the capped amount are subject to payment. Design of tables is included, but test plans at unit test level are provided tthe customer, necessarily
- New development of batch programming and ETL are either completely time and materials for all aspects, or fixed price. Fixed price requires more extensive analysis that is not free of charge - a nominal fee appies, followed by a quote, and an agreement on acceptance critera. Design of tables, a test plan at unit test level only, and other artefacts are done by us. Thereafter, maintenance and support can be negotiated. Function point analysis and integration aspects are taken into account for quotes
